Flourish Hub is dedicated to empowering 10,000 young women and girls with digital literacy by 2030, aiming to close the digital divide and create equal opportunities. As part of this commitment, we proudly hosted a Women in Tech Hackathon on February 22, 2025, in partnership with Africa’s Talking. During this inspiring event, young minds harnessed their skills and creativity to design innovative solutions that ensure anonymity for survivors of gender-based violence (GBV) and provide them with a safe platform to call for help.
The remarkable solutions developed by these young women in under 8 hours serve as a powerful reminder that all women need the right support, resources, and opportunities to thrive in the ever-evolving digital landscape. This event not only showcased their immense potential but also reinforced our belief in the transformative power of technology when it is used to address pressing societal issues.
On that note, We are thrilled to announce that Flourish Hub has been accepted as a member of the private sector advisory group within the Digital for Development (D4D) Hub—a pioneering platform dedicated to fostering multi-stakeholder collaboration for a sustainable and inclusive digital transformation.
About the D4D Hub
Launched in December 2020 by the European Union and its Member States, the D4D Hub champions a human-centric approach to digital transformation. It serves as a global conduit for international digital partnerships, bringing together stakeholders across Sub-Saharan Africa, Latin America and the Caribbean, Asia-Pacific, and the EU’s neighboring regions.
